Mom's Onion Pie

onion pie.

2 lbs of sweet onions sliced and sauteed in olive oil until soft
1 egg
ready made pie crust dough

grated cheese

place pie crust dough in a 13x12 or pyrex dish. mold with fingers to make it fit. cool onions and mix with  1 egg and cheese.and pour into bottom crust .  place top crust over the onions. you may have to roll the dough a little to make it fit. cut some slices in top crust to allow for steam to excape--they could be decorative. glaze top crust with a litte egg wash ( water and beaten egg ) place in a preheated 350 oven and bake until crust is brown.
